A series of unforgettable events…

Monty Trail Events Co

Good afternoon fellow adventurers and trail runners,

So here we are writing our first blog post for Trail Events. Over two years ago now we embarked on our trail running adventure and we feel it’s time to share with you all, our daily adventures, our expeditions we have taken part in as well as planning, the events we have already embarked on and the exciting events we have yet to come.

Before I go on, I must mention our team dog Monty, who is without doubt the driving force behind the adventures we embark on within Trail Events. He is quite the character. He creates scenes of charm as he is continuously curious on each voyage we set foot on. You’ll certainly be hearing more about Monty along our journey.

For all of you who may not be aware of what we create here at Trail Events, we are a company of passionate people who host trail events in the most beautiful places imaginable within the UK. Last year we had a fantastic four events in the diary and this year we have a tremendous ten so it’s been a progressive series of unforgettable events for us as we look forward to starting our season this coming April time.

As the spring flowers start to blossom, so does our journey of a calendar flourishing full of Trail running events. As well as hosting Trail events we also like to endure going on our own little adventures, morning, noon and night. Our morning are normally spent with Monty howling to be taking to the cliff tops so we venture off to Hope’s Nose or Thatchers rock where the little rascal can run free as we run along the scenic south coast trails. Once lunch time arises we find ourselves down on the local beach exploring the expeditions to be taken right on our door step and if two walks just weren’t enough for Monty, we then find ourselves taking an evening stroll to watch the sunset and ponder over our day of a series of Trail events, saying goodnight to a hard day’s work.

Our company was first founded from our adornment for the beautiful outdoors, for adventure beyond and of course for Trail running bonanzas. Our aim was to gather as many fellow passionate runners as possible and set up routes for running whilst exploring the beautiful trails and National Parks that run through the epic landscapes of the United Kingdom.

Our first Trail running event of the season kicks off on the 22nd of April 2017 for Head II Head in the scenic location of East Soar Farm in Kingsbridge, Devon which has been in the pipeline for quite some time and something our team are very much looking forward to getting started with.

Over the winter months our team here at Trail Events have kept our heads down in creating an abundance of Trail running events to take place this year for you all to be a part of. If you’re interested in signing up feel free to register for our upcoming events through our website- https://trailevents.co/

Many adventures have been had in between planning so let’s time travel back to three weeks ago when our team wandered off to the Scottish highlands to explore the running route in which we will be embarking on for our Glencoe event this coming August. Upon finding our trails and heading for the mountains the air was frosty and the surrounding areas were set to be foraged within.

One particular moment that captivated us was stumbling across a majestic Stag in Glen Etive. The landscape here alone was enough to leave you feeling incandescently captivated by all it’s natural beauty, yet meeting this fine statue of a Stag added a sprinkling of magic to our already rather majestic trip to the Glencoe Mountains. This is a place we are incredibly excited to come back to and share with fellow runners this August for our Glencoe expedition.

Our time soaking up the serenity in Scotland soon came to an end and lead to us to heading home back to the South West of Devon. As the spring flowers started to blossom and the long nights started drawing out, we grew accustomed to taking long walks through the woods where whilst stumbling upon wonderful wildlife we came across two kingfishers chirping to one and other. We were able to watch them for quite some time. That was a very surreal moment. One to treasure and keep on being the reason why we keep on exploring trail after trail in awe of our surroundings.

So what do we have coming over the horizon I hear you ask… Well we are really excited to announce that we have two new events opening up very soon in the stunning locations of Ben Nevis and Snowdon so keep you eyes peeled for more information to be unravelled on these two intriguing excursions to come. They are going to be quite the wonders to behold.

That’s all from us for now. I hope you have enjoyed the adventures we have embarked on and the ones that as soon approaching. Monty is tugging on my arm for this evening’s walk so I must say farewell and wish you all really great evening. Explore those trails and keep on adventuring!
