The Brecon Beacons Trail Running Challenge is now entering its 9th year in Talyboont-on Usk and is one of the most popular events on the trail running calendar in Wales.
This year we have managed to add some more elevation and we’ve taken you off the Taff Trail into the woods and joining the Cambrain Way.
The marathon and ultra distances have also got a few new peaks to climb. This year after you summit Pen y Fan, instead of skirting around Cribyn and Fan y Big, you now have the joy of heading over the top of these two peaks!
We offer four distances at this event. The Ultra Marathon, Marathon, Half Marathon and 10k.
Canicross friendly – 10k and half marathon distances ONLY (please ensure your dog has trained properly for the event).
Camping is available on Friday and Saturday nights.

Signage
We use a number of signs during our events. Arrow markers are on a hi-viz reflective red with white arrow to mark the direction to be taken.
We advise runners to bring a map of the route with them on event day in case of emergencies. You can download the map and print it and you can download GPX files to your device.
Self Navigation runs (Dartmoor 100, Dartmoor 50), no signage will be used. Way marks on the national pathways will show the way, along with your gps units.
